St. Patricks Day In Dungarvan St Patrick’s Day is celebrated in traditional fashion in the streets and hostelries of Dungarvan. Central to the celebrations is the fine annual parade which has up to fifty floats, bands and marching groups. The event brings up to 8,000 people onto the streets of Dungarvan and is one of the busiest days in the town all year. It is looked forward to eagerly by our residents and visitors, with many emigrants returning each year for the special day. Now preparing for its fifth festival the team behind the scenes are already working busily with all our stakeholders to ensure that the fifth event is bigger and better than before.
Munster Fleadh: will be staged for the fifth time in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford from Monday July 16th to Sunday July 22nd 2012. Dungarvan has previously hosted the Munster Fleadh in 1988, 1981, 1969 and 1963 Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan is the largest Provincial Fleadh in Ireland, Britain and United States. It plays host to visitors from Ireland and abroad. Visitors from all over the world will enjoy a true Waterford welcome and will be treated to an abundance of music, song and dance at the many impromptu sessions as well as set and céilí dancing venues around the town.
